AI and Research: What You Need to Know Now! Online
This session is designed to help students better understand current best practices when engaging in research activities and using AI to do research. Our goal is to alleviate the stress students experience when they have difficulty locating good quality information when working on research projects or exploring ideas for their own learning. The program will allow students to interact with the intersection of GenAI, AI literacy, and information literacy concepts. Please consider providing extra credit for students who attend!
Learning Outcomes: Students will have a clearer understanding of AI literacy; Students will be able to recognize that relying on AI too much means you've lost your voice; Students will be able to explain what GenAI is and isn’t good at doing; Students will know AI and research best practices
