Data delivers value when it is properly managed, clearly understood, and used responsibly and with integrity.  This conversation-driven session introduces participants to the fundamentals of data asset management through a practical and engaging “bucket list” approach.  Participants will explore what it means to treat data as a strategic asset, examine the nuanced relationship between data and information, and gain insight into MC’s new DATA ROCKS framework as a tool for guiding effective data practices.  The session will also highlight the ethical responsibilities that accompany data collection, storage, sharing, and use.  Attendees will leave with actionable strategies to enhance data literacy, strengthen data stewardship, and support more informed decision-making within the College.
