Information Roadmap 2024: Foreign Interference, Disinformation, and AI in a Year of Elections Online
Eight years since revelations of Russian election interference first shocked the world, what should voters expect in an information environment more polluted than ever? Two billion people are eligible to cast ballots in elections around the world in 2024. Meanwhile, disinformation has been democratized, with generative AI making it easy to create and amplify convincing falsehoods. Nina Jankowicz, an internationally recognized expert on disinformation and Russian information operations, will discuss how we got here, where we're going, and what we can do about it in this lecture.
