AI is Here... Now What? Thinking Critically in a Digital World Online
AI is everywhere, from the apps on your phone to the tools you'll use in your future career. But how much do you really know about it? In this workshop, you will learn about different types of artificial intelligence tools, explore critical thinking strategies that will help you use AI ethically, and review ways to evaluate the information created by AI.
Learning Outcomes: - Build confidence in navigating AI tools ethically and thoughtfully - Identify where and how AI shows up in everyday tools and content - Understand key types of AI (predictive, generative, supervised learning) - Apply three strategies to evaluate AI-generated content: Relevance, Accuracy, and Bias - Use critical thinking to question and verify AI outputs
