How Infographics May Enhance Effective Communication of Your Ideas In-Person

Want to make your ideas stand out? In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how infographics can communicate information more effectively than text alone. We’ll explore key design elements, walk through the basics of Piktochart, and then you’ll create your own infographic on a topic you know well. By the end of the session, you’ll have practical skills and a ready-to-use visual you can adapt for teaching, research, or professional projects.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: 1. Evaluate the effectiveness of infographics compared to text-based communication in conveying information clearly and persuasively. 2. Apply design principles and use Piktochart tools to create an original infographic on a familiar topic. 3. Reflect on potential applications of infographics in professional or academic contexts by sharing and discussing their creations with peers.
